Stuff I Like Saturdays: #WellnessWeek Edition

I've been shocked at the response to the posts in this #WellnessWeek series on this site. I've been so encouraged by many of you and it's good, I think, for many of us to know that we're not alone in our wellness struggles. Whether this is a battle for you or not, I know we all, at times, struggle with the right balance of honoring God in our bodies with what we eat, how we exercise, how much sleep we get and how we handle stress.

There's so much more than can be said on all of these topics, but I hope this series has at least scratched an itch and encouraged you to take some steps towards surrendered wellness (being obedient to steward your body for God’s glory).

Below I share a few articles on wellness from other sites and have also included a list of some of the posts I have written about eating, exercise and wellness on my site.

But before I turn it over to other posts, I did want to make one more confession. This is the first week I have blogged every day, and it's been hard! I have so much respect for those who do this every day and every week. I can't handle it. My confession comes in sharing how little sleep I chose to get a few nights during this week. Ironically, while writing about wellness, I have made a not-so-well decision to sacrifice sleep. Thankfully, I return to my normal schedule tomorrow, but I did want to highlight a post I wrote about one year ago about a Sleep challenge I went through with some friends. I start it up again on Monday, and I'm ready for the challenge in front of me. Check out 8 Lessons I Learned From the Sleep14.
